Very peeved
2009-01-04I ordered 3 of these cameras (to complete a set of 4 for a very special trip). Got them a couple days before the trip only to find EVERY SINGLE ONE was defective! They were ALL missing the little switch for changing the channels so you can use more than one at once, which was the whole point of buying them!
I didn't have time to order them from elsewhere in time for the trip. I had to return them all the manufacturer for replacements. Very peeved!!

Swann NightHawk 2 2.4Hgz Wireless Cameras and Reciever
2008-12-22The NightHawk cameras are very compatible with add on cameras but needs a
better view at night with blurry video operation.Just add a Swann SW-P-HGA Wireless Network Booster to the Reciever unit.

Wireless interrupts home network.
2008-08-15The video quality is adequate for what it's for. I don't plan to make movies with it. I like being able to see the front and back of my house. However, the user manual is worthless. The biggest drawback is that the wireless cameras totally knock out my wireless home network. Laptops put next to the access point can't find a signal. It uses the same 2.4 GHz band as home routers. Swann said there is no solution, buy a wired system. Defeats the convenience feature, doesn't it? It could possibly interrupt your neighbor's as well. This must go for any other wireless system.
I gave this product a low score because of the wireless network problem.

overpriced for what it does
2008-08-08This camera is worthless. It's not worth the price. They all look the same and sell under different brands. The wireless signal is ok, it's the image quality that is as poor as it gets. Night vision is almost non-existent it's a joke. Works very poorly when it's bright out. This camera is worth no more than $20.

Swann Night Hawk Camera

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm.
But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras.
At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
