Users are finding new applications daily for the new PK20 LED DLP PocketProjector. This is the second generation of Mitsubishi award-winning, micro-sized portable projector. With an ultra-wide lens, the PK20 has one of the shortest image throw distances of mobile projectors on the market today. Powerful enough to project a 40-inch image, you can easily create a 20-inch diagonal screen with just over a foot of projection distance. If you're a sales executive, trainer, gamer, traveler, or camper, you can take the "big screen" right along with you. Or use it at home for digital photo or video shows.This class of projectors is so new Mitsubishi has made a special effort to listen to how you're using this unique presentation product, and then respond with new features. First, the PK20 expands its portability by adding an SD card flash memory reader for on-the-fly photo sharing or presentations. Next, the projector uses a combination of Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing and LED technology to increase brightness by 150 percent compared to the original PocketProjector. You'll see greater detail and increased clarity too, with a boost in contrast ratio to 1000: 1. And audio in and out, as well as a tripod attachment have beeb added.Even where there's nowhere to plug in, the battery-powered PocketProjector offers SVGA (800x600) resolution. This projector also includes RCA video, S-video and VGA inputs, plus stereo mini-jack audio in/out to connect to your PDA, portable DVD player, laptop computer, digital camera or video game console. The new PK20 offers instant on/off control, virtually noiseless operation, and no bulb replacement.

great LED pocket projector2008-09-06
I was pleasantly surprised at the color and brightness of this low lumen projector. I project down onto a desk from a distance of 3'. It certainly isn't designed for lighting a wall from > 12'. The LED illumination is great for low power, long bulb life and for our particular application, it's great that the projected image doesn't show up in the infrared so that we can do machine vision for multitouch applications.

I bought this a few months back. I finally got to use it and it works great. If you use it with a computer you'll have to "clone" your monitor to get it to recognize it. I've heard of people using silk for portable screens but I used some other kind of material (muslin) from a craft store and bought a tent pole from walmart and sewed channels in both ends and used the tent pole (which breaks down with an elastic band inside of the sections) to support the top and bottom of the screen.

This little gem is just what I needed to make enlarging my designs and sketches much more easily. It is so tiny, it fits in my rolling laptop case along with my laptop and many extra cables, and it weighs very little. I love that it is SO SIMPLE to set up and use. I use my Windows Photo gallery to project images from my photos onto a piece of paper on the wall. I can then sketch it in on the paper in perfect proportion. I use the process both for watercolor sketches and for art quilt designs. No more trips to kinkos for enlarging.
The only drawback I have noticed is that the room needs to be pretty dark in order to get a clear image. With sun coming in windows in the daytime, drapes have to be closed in order to use the projector successfully.Mitsubishi PK20 PocketProjector

just got it, watched south park with my roomate, can project bigger than stated in documentation. image looks great, works best in a darkened room or outside at night.

I bought the PK20 and it was delivered on Tuesday. The image quality was so bad I had to turn off all the lights in the room and shut the blinds and the image was still a bit washed out. 25 Lumins. Yep. "> The PK20 is a pocket projector has a brightness of 25 ANSI lumens only.". This was a quote from a Mutsubishi tech. I'm sure it has some use, I just can't think of any.

Oh ya, it's being returned as I type this.
